PORT ANGELES — The Clallam Conservation District will present “Equine Farm Tour: Mud, Manure & Native Plants” at 11 a.m. Thursday.
The free tour will showcase the 5-acre Honky Donkey Care Farm in Carlsborg.
The tour will highlight how they keep a farm mud-free year round, techniques to regulate donkeys’ grass intake and manure storage system.
There will also be discussion about how the farm utilizes native plants to encourage pollinators and to screen their property.
Due to space limitations, participants must register at www.clallamcd.org.
The district also will present a tour of Bent Gate Farms in Agnew on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
