Financial incentives on staff attendance, long-term substitute pay and COVID-19 absences are some of the topics of the Apache Junction Unified School District Governing Board’s Sept. 14 work session.
The governing board meets at 4 p.m. for a work session and 6 p.m. for a meeting Tuesday in the board room, 1575 W. Southern Ave.
The board is to meet in a closed-door executive session to discuss the lease for Thunder Mountain, Superstition Mountain and old Four Peaks elementary school buildings; and on certified employee Dustin Kechta’s resignation.
Topics to be discussed at the 6 p.m. meeting include an Apache Junction High School drama students trip to New York, and possible action on:
- Paying Twotrees Technology Inc. $59,659.20 for 40 Lenovo Thinkpads to replace staff devices;
- COVID-19 absences;
- Kechta’s resignation; and
- Facilities rental fees,
