
Topic, the First Look Media-owned streaming platform, has greenlit a docuseries on U.S. prison reform that conducts an experiment in which the Scandinavian prison system is tested on American soil.
Prison Project: Little Scandinavia, directed and produced by Tomas Lindh and John Stark, sees superintendent Marirosa Lamas from SCI Chester in Pennsylvania, assisted by Drexel University researchers, apply the Scandinavian prison system to a U.S. context. This system operates with the goal of making good neighbors out of every inmate, which means according every one of them a larger degree of respect, privacy, and dignity than is granted convicts in American prisons.
The series is coproduced by Topic, NRK, DR and YLE.
