Film critic and former host of TVO's Saturday Night at the Movies, Thom Ernst, will take part in a public discussion hosted at The Bookshelf Cinema, 41 Quebec St., on Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.
Professor Doug Cowan will also join the discussion. He is the author of The Forbidden Body: Sex, Horror and the Religious Imagination.
The discussion will follow a screening of Brian DePalma's horror classic, Carrie, and will focus on the common theme of sexual taboos prevalent in many horror films.
